Process Engineering ToolS About PETS® – which was first marketed in 1997 and is still aiding the engineering community with design, analysis and troubleshooting of projects for over 25 years. PETS® was designed by engineers for engineers.
What is PETS®? An engineering software product with a collection of over 30 independent frequently used engineering calculations or ToolS combined into one software product. PETS® ToolS calculates Physical Properties, Hydraulic Analysis, Relief Calculations and Instrument Sizing. PETS® ToolS also calculates Equipment Sizing such as Pumps, Compressors, Tanks, Vessels, Spheres, Drums, Columns, Exchangers, Air Coolers and more. The software can be utilized to troubleshoot one system or design an entire plant.
Who uses PETS®? Utilized by the Engineering Community – Process Engineers, Chemical Engineers, Production Engineers, Mechanical Engineers, and Instrument Engineers.
Where is PETS® used? Used in the energy industry in Refineries, Chemical Plants, Utilities and Equipment Manufacturers.
Why do I need PETS®? To help design, analyze and troubleshoot your process. The graphical user interface makes PETS® easy to use increasing productivity and providing reliable results.
How do I use PETS®? Select a tool, there are 37 ToolS, then begin entering the necessary data for example temperatures, pressures, density etc. The data needed will be different depending upon the tool selected. The PETS® environment is interactive and calculations are performed and updated as required data is entered. Save or print the data.
